Limit app time on iPhone
A daily limit is the simplest way to cut phone time: the app is usable, but only for as long as you decided in advance. After that iOS blocks it.
Three kinds of time rules
Daily limit: you set how long an app or category may run per day, for example 30 minutes.
Schedule: the app is only allowed at certain times or on certain weekdays, for example not during work or after 10 pm.
Focus session: for a fixed period everything distracting is blocked, with a timer and an end.
How to set it up with Jade
Pick the apps in the Vault, create a rule and decide whether it applies after a limit or on a schedule. Jade shows your rules and progress on the home screen.
If a rule does not work, for example because no apps are chosen, Jade shows a notice so that the block does not fail unnoticed.
What to keep in mind
A limit that is too strict gets switched off after two days. Better to start a little below your current use and lower it step by step. Plan exceptions, such as weekends, from the start.

How do I limit an app to a certain time per day?
Set a daily limit for the app or category. Once it is reached, iOS blocks the app until the next day.
Can I set times by weekday?
Yes, rules with a schedule can be tied to certain weekdays and times.
What happens when the limit is reached?
You see a lock screen instead of the app. Depending on the setting you get back in the next day or when the rule ends.
Does it cost anything?
Getting started with up to five apps or categories is free. More blocks and Unbreakable Focus are part of Pro.
