App blocker for iPhone

An app blocker locks distracting apps when you don't need them: during a focus session, after a time limit or on a fixed schedule. On iPhone this only works reliably through Apple Screen Time.

How an app blocker works on iPhone

iOS does not let apps simply close other apps. Real blocks therefore run through Apple's Screen Time interface. An app like Jade uses it to decide which apps or categories are blocked, and iOS enforces it system wide.

If you open a blocked app, you see a lock screen instead. You only get back in when the block ends or you lift it on purpose.

What Jade can do

Focus sessions with a timer: everything distracting stays blocked until time is up.

Daily limits per app or category, and rules with a schedule, including weekdays.

Unbreakable Focus (Pro): the block cannot be cancelled during the session.

Grayscale, streak and a daily goal ring to make it easier to keep going.

Free start with up to five apps or categories.

What to look for

Check that the block comes from the system and holds when the app is closed. Look for clear pricing and for a provider that explains what data it stores. With Jade, blocks and your selection stay on your device.
